Camp won five caps for the England Under-21 side Swansea City have made an offer to Nottingham Forest for goalkeeper Lee Camp, BBC Sport Wales understands.Northern Ireland international Camp has been at the City Ground since joining from Queens Park Rangers in 2009.
The Swans have turned their attentions to Camp after they failed in a bid to sign Fulham's David Stockdale earlier in the week.
It is understood the Premier League newcomers have made an offer believed to be around ?1m for Camp.
Premier League newcomers Swansea have already signed keeper Jose Moreira from Benfica to replace Dorus de Vries, who has joined Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to increase his options between the posts, and had targeted Fulham stopper Stockdale, but they failed with a ?2m bid.
The Swans have now turned their attentions to Camp, a former England Under 21 who won the first of his two Northern Ireland against Serbia in March.
The 26-year-old began his career with Derby County and spent loan spells with Burton, Norwich and QPR before moving to Loftus Road permanently in 2007.
BBC Sport Wales also understands the Swans have made an improved offer for Newcastle's Wayne Routledge.
Swansea also face competition from Nottingham Forest for the 26-year-old.
